Ranganadi Dam is located in the Lower Subansiri District of the State of Arunachal Pradesh in the Ranganadi River, a tributary of Brahmaputra River and the adjoining Dikrong basin.
The project consists of 68 m high and 339 m long concrete gravity dam with 5 spillway radial gates to absorb design flood of 13,241 cumec and have installed capacity of 405 MW.
Encardio-rite was awarded the complete contract for supply as well as installation of safety monitoring instrumentation for the project. The instrumentation included:
- Vibrating wire piezometers
- Stress meter
- Jointmeter
- Stress meter (spider- 19 groups of 6 each)
- Temperature meter
- Readout unit
- Data acquisition system
